On March 20, 2018, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Information Technology (OIT) held their first Reverse Industry Day.
A Reverse Industry Day is an educational event where industry representatives present their perspectives to the government acquisition workforce. They are designed to facilitate open dialogue between industry and government to increase transparency, improve collaboration, and foster innovation.
This USCIS Reverse Industry Day session focused on how government can engage with industry to conduct effective market research. Acuity’s Vice President of Business Development, Kristin Cooke, served as the moderator for the panel. Acuity’s Director of Contracts, Compliance, and Legal Affairs, Matthew Gernstein, served as a panelist alongside other industry representatives for the engaging and informative discussion.
Discussion topics included highlights of past successes, how to best utilize feedback and lessons learned, and innovative techniques which could improve the market research process.
