Problem: Federal client requested IT services for installing, contingence planning, testing and securing critical databases and administration support of these databases instances to achieve their mission.

Work Performed: Installed, configured, upgraded and secured database instances on virtual hardware platforms and implemented database encryption and network encryption throughout all lines of database storage and database communication.

Benefits: Developed standard procedures for installing, configuring and monotoring for the administration of existing enterprise databases and the analysis, design, and creation of new databases.

Security administration- Provided data encryption, network encryption, database lockdown and remediation for sensitive data for both static data and in-flight data.

Contingency Planning - Provided high assurance database architecture in the event of database failure to allow for quick recovery using clusters and failover\switchover database technology. Reduced time to recovery databases from unexpected disaster recovery from days to hours.
