Federal client requested consulting services for capturing requirements for software development projects.

Work Performed: Analyzed requirements by determining whether the stakeholder’s requirements were captured, incomplete, or contradictory, and then resolved the gaps. Acuity recorded requirements using natural-language documents, use cases, user stories and process specifications.

Benefits: Introduced a software requirements specification document to include a set of use cases to describe all user interactions. Documented context diagrams to shows how the new system integrates into the environment. Defined boundaries and interfaces between the new system being developed and the entities external to the system. Created user interfaces and technical prototypes to make the concepts and possibilities more tangible to the stakeholders. Prioritized requirements to determine the implementation priority of software features, use cases, or stakeholder requirements. Created a data dictionary to enable stakeholders working on the project to use consistent data definitions.
