Problem: Federal client requested IT services for securing hardening of world-wide mission critical software applications.

Work Performed: Performed security hardening for all software applications tiers for both public and private network environments on both physical and virtual platforms. Security hardening via network encryption occurred for all application communication. Hardening of the operating system via least privilege access, implementing security patches and the closing of unnecessary protocols and ports on server tiers. Implementing security lockdown of application servers, web servers and database servers via least privileges, application security roles, auditing and database encryption.

Benefits: Defined and document standard security configuration guidelines to reduce the time to perform lockdown tasks of application servers and database servers from weeks to days. Standard procedures allowed for repeatable security hardening outcomes that were successfully predictable and thru reduced the risk to the application environment.

Implemented and documented the most secure software application and database environments the customer has every installed on their network.
